​Sir Richard, Professor of Material Catalytic and Computational Chemistry at University College London, ​is a long-standing collaborator with ISIS, and currently the Chair of the ISIS Neutron & Muon Source Science Advisory Committee. On receiving his Knighthood he said: "I am naturally very pleased to have been awarded this honour, both personally and for the recognition with it gives to the key role of science and research. I am also grateful for the support I have had from so many UCL colleagues over the years."

Professor Jayne Lawrence (right​, speaking at an ISIS User meeting in 2007) is Head of the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry, University of Manchester, was awarded an MBE for her services to pharmaceutical research. Her research interests lie in the engineering of advanced, self-assembled, nanosized systems for improved drug and gene delivery. She has previously been the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Chief Scientist and has served on numerous UK and international advisory committees including chairing UKRI's Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) Science Board.​

Prof Andrew Harrison, CEO at Diamond Light Source received an OBE for services to science especially during COVID lockdown. Upon receiving the news, he said, “While I am obviously delighted on a personal level to receive this award – I consider it to be a tribute to our amazingly dedicated team of 700+ people supporting around 14,000 academic and industrial researchers who are tackling some of the most challenging questions of our time​.”
