The three different differential scanning calorimeters are housed in the instrument room in the second target station (TS2) and in the ISIS Hydrogen and Catalysis Laboratory.

1. Mettler Toledo DSC1

The Mettler Toledo DSC1 is located in the instrument room, located on the west side of TS2 (R80). The DSC1 is a fully automated thermal analysis instrument for investigating enthalpic changes in your samples.

  • Operating range from -150 to 700 °C

  • Liquid nitrogen cooling system for low temperature measurements

  • Argon purge gas

  • 34-position auto sampler with an internal reference position

  • Pre-programmed or entirely user-defined experimental methods
