Devashibhai Adroja
Instrument scientist
Email address:
Dr Adroja is an Individual Merit Scientist and an instrument scientist on the Merlin spectrometer at the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source. He is also a visiting Professor of Physics at Johannesburg University, South Africa. His work is focused on strongly corelated electron systems (SCES) using neutron, muon and X-ray techniques. The SCES are a wide class of materials in condensed matter physics, in which electron-electron interactions are stronger and hence the independent electrons models break down. Understanding electron-electron interactions and role of spin-orbital coupling (SOC) in a variety of SCES is a central part of Adroja’s research. He has extensive international collaborations with academic partners, both on experimental and theoretical condensed matter physics, from all over the world and has written over 450 publications.
