We send our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and collaborators. He was a champion for extreme environment for neutrons and was very well known by many of our scientists and cryogenics technicians.
ISIS Director Roger Eccleston says, "He has been a great friend to ISIS, serving several years on our Science Advisory Committee, and he made a major contribution to European neutron scattering."
