This page contains practical information to make the most of your time at ISIS.
Catering
All ISIS funded users will have money loaded onto their visitor user pass, which can be used in the RAL Restaurant, R1 Coffee Lounge and vending machines.
Please note that the RAL R22 Restaurant and R1 Coffee Lounge operates cashless only (user pass or bank card).

R22 Restaurant
Open Monday to Friday 07:30 – 20:15, and Saturday to Sunday 11:30 – 20:15
Offers a range of hot and cold meals, lighter meals, sandwiches and snacks, and hot and cold drinks
R1 Coffee Lounge
Open Monday to Friday from 08:30 – 16:00 for hot and cold drinks, light meals, snacks and sandwiches.
Other food options on the wider Harwell Campus
The wider Harwell Campus offers a range of food and drink options. Please note that your funded user pass cannot be used at these establishments.
Access to WiFi
Visitors can access Wi-Fi at STFC sites through several options:
- Eduroam: Connect using your home institution credentials. Check with your IT department before visiting to ensure setup.
- GovWifi: More information: wifi.service.gov.uk
- Guest Wi-Fi (ClearPass): Register for access via https://clearpass.rl.ac.uk/guest/register.php
