ISIS neutron and muon instruments are free at the point of access for academic and industry researchers, provided the results from experiments are published in the public domain. Fully confidential fast-tracked use of the instruments is also available for industrial and commercial customers.

Access Routes
There are a range of ways to access beamtime: Direct access, Rapid access, Xpress access and Industrial access. Facility access panels
ISIS operates seven Facility Access Panels (FAPs) to peer review all beamtime proposals. More information about the panels can be found on our FAP page.
Experimental support
ISIS provides support with equipment, general procedures and supplementary techniques related to the preparation of samples for experiments. This includes access to our Support Laboratories, Sample Environment teams and the Research Complex at Harwell.
