The STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory near Oxford is a world-leading centre for research. Computing lies at the heart of many of our activities. We are recruiting apprentices to work with us.
Our degree apprenticeship scheme offers structured training over 4 years, a real job from day one and an opportunity to gain a BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions Degree with QA (accredited by University of Roehampton)
During the scheme, you will rotate between several departments gaining a range of experience.
When we recruit, we are looking for people who have:
- Enthusiasm for a career in IT!
- Have gained or be on track to gain at least a minimum of two A levels at grade A or above OR three A levels at grade C or above OR a BTEC Level 3 in Computing (or similar subject) or equivalent.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Good organisational skills.
- Some knowledge of computers and programming.
Vacancies for starting Autumn 2019 will open early summer (May/June) so check back again then. The deadline for applications is usually July/August.
