Job Role:
I manage the day to day running of the ISIS Support Labs, ISIS Sample Safety Team and the Hydrogen and Catalysis Lab. I also have a role as an NMIH (Nuclear Materials Inventory Holder) and an RPS (Radiation Protection Supervisor).
I can help with ERA, Risk assessment, COSHH assessment, high hazard experiments, active samples, nuclear samples, general lab queries and support.
Previous Experience:
I trained as an organic chemist and then worked as a development scientist working with plasma induced super hydrophobic polymers. After that I briefly PostDoc'd studying ammonia as a hydrogen storage material.

- PhD in Organic Chemistry, University of Birmingham

Hydrogen storage, Porous materials, Nuclear materials, Radiation and Lab safety.
