I am an instrument scientist primarily based on the vibrational spectrometer "TOSCA", but also carry out a great deal of work on the two sister quasi-elastic neutron spectrometers "OSIRIS" and "IRIS". My research interests are centered around future energy materials including fuel cells, organic solar cells, gas absorption and catalysis.
I come from a background in the theory and simulation of materials, thus much of my focus is on gaining as much microscopic insight into experiments as possible through the applcation of molecular dynamics simulation and density functional theory methods. |
