Hannah heads the Computing Division at the ISIS facility, leading a team of about 90 software and systems engineering professionals working with scientists to make a positive difference in the world! The team designs and delivers computing and software engineering solutions of all kinds from user programme business software to scientific software and systems. The team covers a broad range of technologies and works with customers at all levels to meet their needs and find or build the right solution.
Hannah is also a member of various STFC wide committees including:
- IRIS Delivery Board with particular interest in high performance / throughput computing, software, and skills.
- Apprentice Training Panel responsible for setting strategy and policy with focus on the computing apprenticeship scheme.
- Computing Graduate Stream responsible for designing and delivering a programme that effectively supports STFC's strategic objectives and actively supports professional development.
- STFC's corporate IT Committee inputting into strategic overview of IT within STFC, and IT governance and compliance oversight. Hannah also sponsors several STFC-wide IT projects and leads work on various streams of the STFC IT Strategy.
Hannah is chair of STFC's National Laboratories Equality, Diversity and Skills (EDI) Working Group and a member of STFC's EDI Steering Group.
Hannah graduated from The University of Manchester with a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems Engineering. She joined ISIS as a software engineer and then went on to work as a team leader and group leader before becoming division head. She has over 15 years working on and managing software and systems projects and 14 years of those have been with ISIS!
Hannah is also a volunteer leader for Girlguiding UK, the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK.
